Public SWCD Board of Director Meetings

Below is a list of upcoming public meetings held by the Rensselaer County SWCD throughout the year. Please refer to it to find out what we have scheduled.  Contact us for more information.

​Rensselaer County SWCD Board of Director Meetings:

​

In compliance with the Open Meetings Law, the Rensselaer County Soil and Water Conservation District gives notice that it will conduct a Board of Directors Meeting on the second Tuesday of every month at 2:30 p.m.​ 

 

The meeting will take place at the Rensselaer County Soil and Water Conservation District, USDA's Service Center's 1st Floor Conference Room, in the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building, 61 State Street, Troy, NY.  Due to COVID-19, all meetings have been converted to remote conference calls and transcribed.  For SWCD Board meeting minutes or the dial-in information to remotely attend one of these monthly meetings, you may e-mail Megan.Myers.RenscoSWCD@gmail.com.

​Rensselaer County Water Quality Coordinating Committee (WQCC) Meetings:

​

These meetings are open to the public and are hosted at least once per year by the Rensselaer County SWCD on the second floor of the Agriculture and Life Sciences Building, 61 State Street, Troy, NY.  

​

These meetings are for the public and other SWCD partners to share their agricultural issues and natural resource projects (erosion issues, areas of steam stabilization in need, stream crossing upgrades, hydro seeding needs, ect.) within the community for feedback.  Participants may be agricultural producers; owners of nonindustrial private forest land; representatives of agricultural and environmental organizations; and representatives of governmental agencies carrying out environmental, agricultural, or natural resource conservation programs and activities. 

​

The Water Quality Coordinating Committee is a steering and information gathering committee that meets to provide recommendations on local natural resource priorities to assist the Rensselaer County SWCD in providing conservation programs throughout Rensselaer County, NY.

​

DUE TO COVID-19, NO WQCC MEETINGS WILL BE PLANNED AT THIS TIME.
