NAACC Culvert Assessment Project 

Partnered with Trout Unlimited, Upper Hudson River Estuary Program, powered by NAACC (North Atlantic Aquatic Connectivity Collaborative) Rensselaer County SWCD is actively assessing aquatic crossings in 4 towns within its district.

Stephentown

The Stephentown project was the first culvert project for the district. It consisted of over 200 crossings, and field surveys concluded in the summer of 2022.

Berlin

The Town of Berlin assessment project lasted late into the fall with most field work being done in the mid to late fall of 2022. 130 total crossings were assessed in the town.

Grafton

The Grafton project was the smallest project by number of crossings (75) and data collection concluded in mid December 2022.

Brunswick 

Brunswick data collection is still ongoing and consists of many crossings in mostly urbanized areas. Over 120 crossings are to be surveyed in the town.
